This digusting couple, who parent three kids, thought it was okay to traumatize and violate a 7-year-old girl.
Trigger warning: Story contains graphic details of sexual assault that may be distressing to some.
An incident in Kissimmee, Florida, was reported to the police when a seven-year-old girl told a caretaker that she was being touched inappropriately by a firefighter, Argelio Pupo, 32, and his wife, Morgan Keene, 27, according to their arrest affidavit. When investigated, authorities found that the little girl was forced into "sexual acts that she did not wish to perform," and was raped by the firefighter while his wife watched. It was also revealed that the couple allegedly used a sewing kit to stitch up the young girl's injury, as per Orlando Sentinel. The affidavit added that "The victim mentioned that they were trying to teach her how to have a baby."
Upon further investigation, it was reported that not only was Keene in the bedroom while Pupo raped the girl, she also helped clean up the blood. "The victim stated [Keene] was present when this incident occurred and assisted in cleaning up the blood before ultimately telling the victim to go shower and go to bed," said the arrest report, according to The Sun. The Victim stated the next day that [Keene] took her to Target and bought a sewing kit." Authorities found messages that indicated that the girl's injury was stitched up after Keene contacted another friend who happens to be an obstetrics nurse.
This friend was made to work on the assumption that the 27-year-old was treating her own "vaginal tear" which was what prompted the question and she advised her to visit a doctor. However, Keene told her friend that her husband had taken care of the stitches. And when the nurse friend asked whether they had used an anesthetic called lidocaine, Keene responded, "Nope lololol." After the traumatic attack, the child was so distressed and shocked that she told the heartbreaking story as she cried from beneath a table, as reported by Spectrum News 13.
Once the police were involved, Keene denied any knowledge of the allegations and claimed she’d never witnessed any physical or sexual abuse of the victim, according to WFTV. She also told the officers that she had "physical and mental abuse" and wanted her firefighter husband out of the house. As per her claims, she was left with a black eye and partial vision loss after Pupo once attacked her with an ice bag in October. She also told the cops that she was pregnant after she was arrested and that her husband had kicked her in the ribs when she told him about it in November. "Morgan described that her husband has put her in emotional fear and distress of her life," said the police report. However, these claims do not diminish the fact that she just stood by when the young girl was being raped by Pupo, especially when she has three children of her own.
The two were taken into custody, and Pupo was slapped with charges of capital sexual battery of a child under 12 and aggravated child abuse. Morgan faced charges of capital sexual battery of a child under 12 and neglect of a child with great bodily harm. The tortured child was taken into protective custody later. After the firefighter's charges and actions were revealed, officials from the fire department made a clear stand against this heinous act especially by someone who was expected to protect the community they serve. Assistant Kissimmee Manager Austin D. Blake said, "Argelio Pupo has been relieved of his position and is on administrative leave without pay from the Kissimmee Fire Department pending an administrative review of his case and criminal charges. Unfortunately, because we’re still looking into his case we won’t be able to provide much more on his status at this time." The police department is also looking into any other possible victims of Pupo's.
