Job Title: Comcast SportsNet Web Site Intern

Reports To: Marketing Department (VP of Marketing, Web site manager)

Hours Required: 10-15 per week

Available Semesters: Fall, Spring or Summer
(Summer 2008 filled, looking for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009)

Qualifications
College students (must be junior or senior) working for earned credits and interested in journalism, communications or related fields preferred.

Thorough knowledge of sports – particularly Philadelphia sports – is a must. Should be a sound writer and computer savvy. Experience with HTML and web-related programs not required but helpful.

Must be a friendly, personable, motivated and self-directed individual who can work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities
• Searching for updated news, posting new stories
• Editing and posting audio and video clips
• Writing headlines, captions, short descriptions for video clips
• Copy editing and proofreading stories and the site in general
• Covering events, writing stories (depending on experience)
• Various other duties involved with daily updating of site
